EastEnders: Sooo, Michael Moon isn’t Kat’s lover – and actually, I’ve given up caring! Have you? (VIDEO)

by Lynn Connolly

In last night’s EastEnders, we discovered that Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) isn’t Kat Moon’s lover…

I had come to think he was after Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) was ruled out, so I guess that leaves the main contender to be Max Branning (Jake Wood) who I’d previously thought was Mr X.

However, I have to say, I had thought the show’s bosses had promised us viewers that we’d learn the identity of Mr Lover Lover this week, but I guess I either got it wrong or they did.

But either way, I’m rather much at the point where I’ve stopped caring. I think this storyline has gone on way too long.

And though 7.5million of us tuned in to watch Kat’s confession to the long suffering Alfie (Shane Richie) I’m really not sure how much longer we viewers are prepared to continue to be intrigued by the storyline…

If it had been that Alfie had for once stopped being such a goddamn doormat and told Kat it was over, then maybe I might have retained some interest, because then of course, we’d have had the altered dynamic of his personal and working life to watch, and we’d have seen if Kat’s lover really does love her enough to take her in – and Tommy one assumes – once Alfie had ditched her.

But as we saw last night, without finding out who the mystery man is, Alfie just went along with Kat’s idea of bogging off for a holiday!

I mean really, is that likely? If you serial adulterer of a wife had yet again had an affair, would you – if you were Alfie – happily trot along after her when she suggested an impromptu holiday in the middle of the night?

I know I wouldn’t! But let me know what you think.

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek look at Monday night’s episode which see Jean (Gillian Wright) putting her foot down with a firm hand when Big Mo (Laila Morse) takes liberties in Kat and Alfie’s absence…

I still think it’s Michael. His face when Kat said Alfie knew, the fact he never asked her who it was, the way he told her he wouldn’t tell anyone, the whole thing was too cryptic to be as it seemed. I think that was them saying its over and to pretend it never happened.

I still think its Michael too because of how she came out to him about it. Almost relieved to see him and then immediately said, ” alfie knows.” uhmmm.. What an odd way to begin a convo if the person you’re speaking to knows absolutely nothing about it.. Ijs, not ruling out Michael.
