Coming up in EastEnders next week, teenager Lola Pearce – who’s played by Danielle Harold – has some news for her granddad Billy Mitchell – she’s pregnant!

And of course, the father of her baby is Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) who – unless I’m mistaken – is Lola’s cousin?

So, best get knitting those three armed cardigans for the new arrival, or perhaps a bonnet that fits two heads!

However, hot on the heels of the news that Billy – who’s played by Perry Fenwick – is going to run through Walford with the Olympic torch next year, will come Lola’s baby confession…

Seemingly quite chirpy about the news, Lola’s just happy that the council will now give her a flat of her own, but Billy’s quick to point out the harsh realities of being a single – and teenaged – mum.

And when he quizzes her about who is the baby’s father, she refuses to tell him, saying it doesn’t matter as he won’t be part of the child’s life.

We’ll see Lola telling Billy the news next Tuesday, November 22nd at 7:30pm, but in the meantime, let’s take a quick look at who else has been a Walford teenaged mum…

The most famous, and arguably most controversial, of EastEnders’ teenaged pregnancies was the of Michelle Fowler (Susan Tully) who became pregnant after an affair with Dirty Den Watts (Leslie Grantham).

And then there was Sonia Jackson (Natalie Cassidy) who gave birth to Martin Fowler’s (James Alexandrou) daughter after keeping her pregnancy a secret.

She later gave the baby away for adoption, before tracking her down and becoming a full-time mum to her.
