The Wicked Witch of the EastEnd, Janine Malloy, who is of course played by Charlie Brooks, is to discover she’s expecting a baby – as is Lola Pearce by the way – at Christmas.
And though she’s initially terrified at the prospect of becoming a mother, her boyfriend, and of course, the baby’s dad, Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) convinces her to keep the baby.
He tells her that they can be a proper family, and reassures Janine that he loves her and will always stand by her. He adds that he can’t wait to be a real dad…
He is of course, as far as we know, little Tommy Moon’s dad, and he’s frequently said that he wants nothing to do with the child, but it seems he’s determined to be a father to Janine’s baby.
But is it all scam on his part? Is he really just using Janine to get at her money?
As we saw last week, he told Janine that he loves her, but given he’s nuttier than squirrel poo, and twice as slippery, can we – or Janine – trust a thing he says??
Well, time will tell of course, as the Daily Star reports that Janine will decide to keep the baby.
A show insider told the paper, “Janine is completely shocked when she finds out she’s pregnant.
“Her initial reaction is one of horror, especially as she still doesn’t know whether she can trust Michael.
“He says he loves her and is excited about becoming a dad, but he always stirs up suspicion because of his track record.
“It’s going to be a case of are these two dark souls genuinely in love, or does Michael in fact have an ulterior motive?”
What say you? Is he for real and genuinely in love with Janine? Or is he using her to get at her dosh?
