EastEnders Spoilers: Are Michael Moon and Alice Branning about to become an item?! (VIDEO)

Fans of EastEnders will of course know that single dad Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) has only just given Alice Branning (Jasmyn Banks) her job back as nanny to his baby girl, Scarlett…

However, as we’ll see in next week’s episodes, cash strapped Michael is left embarrassed when he can’t afford to pay Alice, so he comes up with a somewhat bizarre suggestion as to how they might raise some cash!

It all begins on Monday, March 4th when Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) asks Alice to repay the money she loaned her the week before. Alice says she just has to get her wages from Michael, and goes off to do just that…

But when he admits he hasn’t got the money to pay her, he tells her to go and get all of his wife Janine’s expensive clothes from upstairs and flog them on the market! He also tells Alice that she might want to put one of Janine’s tops on as little Scarlett has left her breakfast all over Alice’s own top…

When Alice later emerges wearing one of Janine’s designer blouses, Michael tells her how great she looks in it, which delights smitten kitten Alice.

So when Kat then calls round for her cash, she becomes suspicious when Alice doesn’t have it, prompting Kat to question whether Michael’s even paying Alice or not. However, Alice covers and insists that she’s only broke because she’s overspent.

In the episode that airs on Friday 8th March, with the money issue forgotten about for now, Michael’s hunting for one of Scarlett’s favourite toys when he finds the urn containing Derek Branning’s ashes stuffed behind the sofa!

He of course quizzes Alice about it, but she weeps as she reveals to a sympathetic Michael that she just didn’t know what to do with them.

Later, Michael spots Carol (Lindsey Coulson) and proceeds to tell her and Kat about the ashes, adding that he’s worried for Alice as clearly, she’s still grieving. Afterwards, Carol goes to help Alice sort through Derek’s things, and she suggests they should scatter his ashes in a park that Derek liked.

Alice agrees, and having listened to Carol and Kat telling stories about their fun times with Derek, Alice feels ready to say goodbye, and she realises she has Michael to thank for helping her move on.

Is this the start of a new romance for Michael and Alice? Well, as Janine (Charlie Brooks) is headed back to Walford soon, if it is, there’s going to be some fur flying!
