As viewers of EastEnders saw last night, Janine Malloy (Charlie Brooks) is now a rich woman, having inherited a fortune from her recently deceased granny Lydia (Heather Chasen).

But will the money make Janine a nicer person? Nope, quite the opposite it would seem!

An EastEnders insider told Inside Soap, “It was only a matter of time before the old Janine resurfaced…

“Her relationship with Lydia unearthed her softer side, and she was genuinely heartbroken when her granny passed away.

“But now that she’s dripping in cash, the bitch is well and truly back.”

While Janine’s waiting for the money from her inheritance to come in, she’ll ask her stepmother Pat for a loan, but when Pat says she isn’t able to, Janine’s bitchy side will well and truly reemerge.

However, after finding the money elsewhere, Janine then goes on to pour scorn on her family, including her struggling brother Ricky (Sid Owen) and his daughter Tiffany (Maisie Smith) leaving them upset.

The source added, “Pat and Ricky just can’t believe how selfish Janine is being. Rick’s clearly struggling to put food on the table for his family, but Janine still insists that he pay for the flowers for Lydia’s funeral.

“She’s rolling in the dough now and lording it up over the people who need it most.”
