It’s been revealed today that Matt Lapinskas – who left EastEnders last year – is headed back to Walford to reprise the role of Tyler Moon!

Matt, who’s currently competing in Dancing On Ice, has hinted that he’ll make a comeback for the wedding of Anthony’s brother Tyler (Tony Discipline) who has of course recently become engaged to Whitney Dean, who’s played by Matt’s real life girlfriend, Shona McGarty.

Matt told TV Biz, “Shona is very excited about her East-Enders wedding and I’d love to be involved.”

And while revealing how his reappearance might transpire, he added, “Tyler might text his brother and ask him to come back, so we’ll see what happens there…

“Anthony is now in Spain with his dad and there could be a Moon clan reunion.

However, it seems that Matt’s return may not be a permanent one. He said, “I’d love to go back — not to stay but to have a beginning, a middle and an end, cause some trouble then leave again.

“That would be fun.”

And when asked if there could be wedding bells for real for him and Shona, Matt said, “She likes the whole Big Fat Gypsy Wedding thing, so if our day did come I think there would be some arguments.

“I’d say, ‘You’re not wearing that!’ And she’ll be like, ‘Yes I am and we’re getting married here with this horse!’”

He added, “She is definitely The One and I love her to pieces, but we’re still young.

“I’m 23, she’s 21, but when the time is right, the time is right.”

And finally, of his time on Dancing On Ice, Matt said, “It’s a great thing to get myself out there and for people to see me for who I am.

“And it has also been great to come out of EastEnders and express myself.

“But I miss acting and I want a good script to get my teeth into after this.”

Here’s a reminder of how Matt left the show last year…
