Max Branning apparently learns slower than earth worms, because the Daily Star today reports that in forthcoming episodes, he’s once again going to be seen snogging his wife Kirsty (Kierston Wareing) which he’s already done once when what he was meant to be doing was getting rid of her!
However, as we saw in last night’s episode of EastEnders, Kirsty has told Tanya that she’s got no intention of leaving Walford, unless it’s with Max (Jake Wood) at her side.
And as Jo Joyner, who of course plays Tanya, is set to leave the show for a few months at the end of January, it might be safe to assume that there aren’t any happy endings in store for her in the foreseeable future!
But back to the Daily Star’s exclusive story, they report that when Max and Kirsty lock lips again, it’s after Max has suffered a beating at the hands of whoever it is he and his late brother Derek owed money to…
Viewers may recall that before Christmas, Derek was chased by a gang of thugs and given a hiding when he refused to tell them where Max was.
The paper states, “But Max’s bashed up face suggests whoever’s been chasing him for money – and who beat up his brother Derek – has finally caught up with him.”
As to how the storyline with Kirsty is going to develop, there are perhaps some hints in the BBC’s brief synopses of future episodes.
Here’s what they have to say…
January 21st Still dealing with the fallout from Max’s secret, Tanya decides to take charge of the situation, but her methods leave Max reeling. As he tries to pacify the situation, Tanya’s paranoia seems to be eating away at her.
22nd Realising he is at risk of losing his family, Max tries his best to manage the situation, but when he finally gets what he has been asking for, it only leads to more problems. Will Max and Tanya be able to salvage their marriage?
But before all that happens, in Thursday night’s visit to Walford, it would seem that for Kirsty is set to have dinner with the Brannings! As is newbie Dexter Hartman (Khali Best).
Here’s a sneak peek…
