Fans of EastEnders will of course know that evil Carl White (Daniel Coonan) is on a mission to reunite with his former fiancé Kirsty Branning (Kierston Wareing) and as we saw in last night’s episode, he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants…

However, it’s been reported today that Carl’s evil scheming comes to an abrupt end when Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Max Branning (Jake Wood) kidnap him, planning to subsequently murder the Albert Square newcomer before “burying him in a shallow grave!”

The Daily Star reports, “Having menaced his way around Walford, Carl suddenly finds himself in the back of a van being driven to a quarry where Phil and Max plan to kill and bury him.”

As we saw in last night’s visit to Walford, Carl deliberately caused the car crash that caused Phil to be thrown from the motor and will, for the next few weeks, see him fighting for his life in intensive care…

Phil’s mum Peggy – who’s played by Barbara Windsor – will make a one-off return to the Square to visit her son in hospital to urge him not to give up, and to carry on fighting to survive.

Meanwhile, Carl is busy setting up Max to take the fall over the crash, telling police that he believes his love rival tampered with the brakes on his motor. And of course, as Max recently – and loudly – threatened repeatedly to kill Carl, the police will take it very seriously.

But back to Max and Phil’s plan to kill Carl, the paper adds that the men will drive a terrified Carl to a quarry, stating, “Once at the quarry they dig a grave and Carl begs for his life.

“But will his pleas fall on deaf ears?”

Find out soon! For now, here’s a look at the next episode of EastEnders, and a behind-the-scenes look at the car crash…
