EastEnders Spoilers: Phil Mitchell will be hounded by a stalker!

There’s about to be a new whodunit mystery in Walford when local hard-man Phil Mitchell – who’s played by Steve McFadden – acquires his very own stalker!

It all begins when Phil starts receiving photographs which show a young boy. As he gets more and more of them, the young boy is growing up, so it’s a timeline of pictures from the mystery person’s life…

Phil has no clue who the person in the photographs is, or why they’re being sent to him, but when he arrives home one day and finds a picture tacked to a door inside his house, he starts to get really worried.

Then later, another turns up in a car he’s working on in The Arches, so obviously, the mystery sender knows a lot about Phil, and is very much nearby…

Phil soon believes that Janine’s (Charlie Brooks) behind it, which, to be fair, wouldn’t be the first time she’s tried to blackmail someone, but having said that, up to that point, no demands have been made.

Nonetheless, Phil takes the photographs to Pat (Pam St Clement) to see if she recognises the bloke in the snaps, and with growing horror, she does…

Pat goes off to find a newspaper clipping that related to the time Phil and Frank Butcher – who was of course played by the late Mike Reid – torched the car lot for the insurance money.

What Frank and Phil didn’t know was that at the time, a homeless man was sleeping in one of the cars, and he died in the inferno. However, Pat recognised him from the newspaper report into his death.

At the time of the fire, Frank was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, but later released due to lack of evidence.

However, he became so depressed that he decided to leave Walford and his family without warning in April 1994.

So, with part of the mystery solved, Phil’s left frantic that someone knows he contributed to the man’s death. He also has no idea what they want of him.

Here’s a clip of how the fire began back in 1994…

Is this mystery stalker someone Phil knows? Or is it one of the man’s relatives? Let us know your theories!
