EastEnders Spoilers: Ronnie Branning is being released from prison! What’s Jack going to do? (VIDEO)

Eastenders

Walford resident Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is of course gearing up for his wedding to Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean) so the last thing he needs is any reminders of his former marriage to Ronnie…

However, he’s about to get a stark one when Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) informs him that her sister Ronnie – who was of course played by Samantha Womack – is being released from prison.

She was of course sent down for the abduction of Kat Moon’s baby boy Tommy, who she ‘swapped’ with her own dead infant son, James…

The drama begins on April 1 when Jack receives a letter bearing the prison’s stamp, so he of course knows Ronnie’s written it. Not wanting to know what she has to say, he initially intends to rip up the letter and bin it, but wavering, he hides it unopened in a drawer instead.

However, on April 4, when Roxy get a phone call from Ronnie, telling her that she’ll be released soon, she goes to see Jack at the gym, where she finds he’s about to burn Ronnie’s letter…

Roxy stops him and tells him that he should read it, warning that if he doesn’t, he’ll always wonder what his ex-wife had to say. Then, in the episode that airs on April 5, we see Jack continuing to ignore his phone as he knows the call is from Ronnie.

Instead, he throws himself into preparations for the wedding, and his first task is to ask his brother Max (Jake Wood) to be his best man and a witness at his wedding to Sharon…

Find out next week if Jack responds to Ronnie’s attempts to get in touch, and how Max and Tanya will feel about walking down the aisle together for Jack and Sharon’s wedding.
