The final visit of the week to Walford is on Friday 24th January, when we see that Sharon takes the opportunity to rub it into Shirley’s face that she’s looking to open a wine bar.
Later, Linda meets Sharon at the salon to see what she’s up to, and the friends soon start bickering.
Back at The Vic, Linda continues to suggest that Mick ask his dad for money, but he refuses but what he can’t tell Linda is that he’s promised Shirley he won’t get in touch with the dad due to her long standing feud she has with him.
Later on, Mick and Nancy start to tackle the damp problem themselves while Linda expresses her big ideas for the future of The Vic. However, her good mood is quickly ruined when she has to recall all the pies that have come from the kitchen after Johnny tells her he believes the mince is dog meat.
Linda’s day goes from bad to worse when an environmental health inspector turns up and Nancy hits a water pipe!
After Linda lashes out at Shirley for causing all their problems, the family put on a united front, but their spirits are dampened even more when Sharon makes an announcement at The Vic about the new wine bar. A defiant Shirley throws Sharon out and tells Mick they will go and see their father.
Meanwhile, Carol decides not to tell Bianca that she has a hospital appointment today, but in the meantime, Bianca worries that Nikki has her sights on Terry…
Carol reassures her that Nikki’s after someone else, but later, in The Vic, Carol’s annoyed when her quiet evening with the family is ruined by Terry and David fighting. However, they soon stop when a vulnerable Carol updates them on her test results.
Elsewhere, Tamwar is unsettled when Aleks, the new market inspector, arrives in Walford and tells Tam he’s going to have to prove himself if he wants to keep his job.
Later, Kat and Bianca take a liking to Aleks, but without realising who he is, Kat tells him she’s behind with her pitch payments and as a result Aleks puts Tamwar on probation.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up…
