I have to say, this story has given me my first laugh of the day! The Sun reports that EastEnders stars – and real life lovers – Shona McGarty and Matt Lapinskas were booted out of Asda for “inappropriate behaviour”.

What could be “inappropriate” enough to get barred from a supermarket I hear you ask? Well, apparently, smearing yourself with yoghurt and acting “suggestively.”

20 year old Shona and 25 year old Matt apparently outraged shoppers with their naughty dairy product based antics.

One furious mum told the paper, “It was disgusting. The man was opening up pots and looked as if he was throwing it around.

“Then the girl started to smear it over herself in a suggestive manner…

“I had my kids aged ten and nine with me and they certainly don’t need to see that in the shopping aisles of Asda.”

The paper adds that Shona and Matt – who play Whitney Dean and Anthony Moon respectively – were ordered out of the store in Watford, Herts, and told not to return “unless their behaviour improved.”

An Asda spokeswoman said, “This isn’t us being Albert squares. As with any customer found to be causing a ruckus in our stores, we politely asked the culprits to leave so they didn’t offend other shoppers.”

Oh very droll on the Squares thing. Bravo Asda spokeswoman.

Finally, an EastEnders source confirmed, “They were larking around with products they were planning to buy” but an EastEnders spokeswoman refused to comment on the incident.

Now to try to think of a witty hashtag…
