He may be prime suspect number one in the current who slept with Kat storyline in EastEnders, but Tameka Empson says she wants Ray Dixon to marry her onscreen alter ego, Kim Fox!

Kim and Ray (Chucky Venn) have been seeing each since earlier this year, and whilst most of the nation (not us though) believe he is the mystery man behind Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) mystery affair, Tameka Empson who plays Kim fox in the award-winning BBC soap, has revealed to Inside Soap magazine that, despite there being trouble ahead for the pair, she hopes that they will one day settle down and get married.

Tameka told the magazine: “You’re going to see Kim get mad! She’s normally very happy-go-lucky, so when life really hits her hard, how will she deal with it?

“It would be nice to see her and Ray go the distance, though – Kim and Ray’s wedding is something I’d love to see.”

She went to credit the couple’s popularity to her co-star, Chucky Venn, saying:

“Chucky and I work well together, and the fans tell me they love seeing Kim and Ray as a couple.”

With the Inside Soap Awards already in the public voting stages, Tameka went on to discuss her characters comic persona, for which she has been nominated for ‘Funniest’ character at the ceremony, saying how she loved playing the funny role, as well as describing some of her favourite moments so far: “I also enjoyed the episode where Kim accidentally chopped off Ray’s finger in the Queen Vic kitchen…”
