EastEnders: The identity of Kat Moon’s lover will be revealed on Sept 14th & will Ian Beale crack yet again? (VIDEO)

Fans of EastEnders may be pleased to hear that in the episode which airs on September 14th, we’re finally going to discover the identity of the man who’s at the heart of the great Who’s Bonking Kat Moon? mystery, even though that storyline has somewhat petered out of late…

However, one of the remaining potential candidates, Max, Jack and Derek Branning and Michael MoonRay Dixon (Chucky Venn) was ruled out a couple of weeks ago – will be exposed as Kat’s lover.

As we’ve reported previously, Jack (Scott Maslen) is the viewers’ fave to turn out to be the phantom Kat diddler, and Derek (Jamie Foreman) is considered the most unlikely, so I guess that leaves just Michael (Steve John Shepherd) and Max (Jake Wood) in the running.

However, given that EastEnders’ writers threw up a curve ball on a previous whodunit – that is, having Darren Miller turn out to be baby George Trott’s dad – I’m not sure I’m ready to discount Derek entirely…

But as to how the mystery man’s identity is discovered, it all begins with a brawl in the Vic, which in turn begins after Alfie (Shane Richie) finds out that Ray has been playing footie for another team, as well as playing for The Vic.

This revelation sparks a fight, during which Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) lover gets injured, and when she takes him upstairs to patch him up, he writes “I love you” on the bandage she’s applying to his hand.

Somehow, Alfie then finds out that Kat’s been doing the dirty on him, and is of course devastated. Again.

What’s On TV magazine have the scoop on the storyline climax, and you can see their video spoiler by clicking here.

And apropos of devastated Walford residents, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) has made something of a miracle recovery hasn’t he?

He’s gone from being practically catatonic to returning nearly to a state somewhat close to normal, give or take a worrying propensity to wear grubby woolly hats and grow his hair.

Which was fast, fair dos, but that’s artistic license for you.

O and let’s not forget the cut on his face that just plain won’t heal apparently…

However, in tonight’s trip to the Square, it could well be that pressure from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) could sent Ian spiraling right back down as he tries to force the café owner to visit killer Ben in prison.

Here’s a sneak peek…

Will Ian give in and do what Phil wants? Find out tonight!

  1. Wendy says:

    Fatboy is Kat’s lover.

  2. Freddie says:

This is not true. Kat tells Alfie that she’s having an affair but she doesn’t tell him who it is and she isn’t for at least 5 more episodes after that.
