The Mitchell family are being sent to Dorset for a family holiday soon as part of a storyline that could blow the family apart.
The scenes were due to be shot in Spain, but due to BBC cutbacks Eastenders bosses changed the venue to sunny (?) Dorset. Whilst on holiday, new character Archie Mitchell will turn up and cause no end of trouble.
An insider told the Daily Star Sunday: “The story works just as well in Weymouth. But there are some concerns about the British weather. It’s so unpredictable and could cause a few problems for filming outside.”
The source added: “They’re having to hire extra security to make sure none of the Weymouth locals get a glimpse. It absolutely mustn’t be leaked.”
