Eastenders To Get Spanking New Set!

The 23 year old Eastender’s set is getting so old and shabby, that bosses have decided to up aticks and move from Elstree to brand new premises in Pinewood studios.

A source told The Sun: “You can see every crack, chipboard flake and Blu-Tack solution. HD also shows that the set isn’t built of real brick.”

A BBC memo to drama producers warned: “Using HD will highlight scenery defects such as repeat taping and painting over scenery flattage joins, knocks and damage, dirt and scuff marks.

“Knocks, scratches, general wear and tear are distinctly noticeable and need additional time and effort to rectify.”

Holby City and Casualty are thought to be moving sets to Pinewood also, so expect shiny new BBC sets to hit our screens later this year! I wonder if Eastenders will seem quite so grim with a new set?
