The BBC have revealed that EastEnders’ comedy character Kim Fox is to star in her very own online spin-off show, which is entitled, The B&B.
Featuring four episodes, the online only shows will feature “access all areas” footage of the B&B and Kim running it.
Here’s the show’s synopsis…
A camera crew is given access to all areas of ‘Kim’s Palace’. The team focus on her adventures (and mis-haps) as she strives to raise her small business from the ashes of disaster, catapulting her into the realm of the Alan Sugars and Richard Bransons of this world.
With Kim at the helm, surely nothing can go wrong. Can it?! Watch this space…
The soap’s official website adds, “Our very own Kimberley Fox is set to star in a ‘reality-documentary’ for BBC EastEnders online. And the scripts have been written by Tameka Empson herself!”
And of her business ‘empire’ Kim’s quoted as saying, “I’m an independent woman like Beyonce, a sexy yet stylish business woman like Ann Summers and slightly ruthless and ambitious like Donald Trump…”
While discussing her role on the show, and the online spin-off – which will air in October – Tameka told Daybreak viewers that in real life, she’s not very much like Kim.
She said, “She’s bolder than myself. She can go on all night – I need a break in between dancing and stuff!
“I like good shoes, comfortable shoes. But it all works [for Kim], from the toes right the way up.”
And of being nominated for ‘Funniest Female’ at this year’s Inside Soap Awards, Tameka modestly claimed that it’s all thanks to the show’s writers who manage to keep the show funny while at the same time retaining the drama that keeps viewers hooked.
She said, “It’s that nice balance, isn’t it? Life can be a bit stressful, but also life can be funny, so you’ve got my character, you’ve got Fatboy as well, and you’ve got Cora, who I think is hilarious.
“I worked with her just the other day, so there’s some nice funny scenes coming up.”
But of the award, Tameka conceded, “It would be lovely on the mantelpiece.”
The Inside Soap Awards 2012 winners will be revealed in London on Monday, September 24, which is of course also the date of our next visit to Walford, and here’s a sneak peek…
