EastEnders to mention Jackson’s death tonight

The Digital Spy website has revealed that a special scene has been hastily filmed for tonight’s episode of EastEnders which will make reference to Michael Jackson’s death.

DS says that they have exclusively been told that a scene has been filmed showing Denise and Patrick discussing the popstar’s death and that one of his famous tracks will be played during the episode.

EastEnders’ executive producer Diederick Santer told DS, “There are some news stories and events which get everyone talking, and this is one of them. Given the quick turnaround, it’s only a small scene, but I hope it reflects to some extent the impact Michael Jackson’s death has had…”

A spokesperson for the show also added, “We will be making a reference in tonight’s episode to Michael Jackson’s death. We always aim to reflect topical events that we think will strike a chord with our audience and have previously filmed additional scenes including the election of Barack Obama and England’s participation in the World Cup.”

We was watching Eastenders and when they said Micheal Jacksons death i was confused cause Eastenders episodes are filmed weeks or months before it shows on tv. Then i thought maybe they quickly filmed that bit and added to yestardays episode.
