EastEnders: Tony Discipline wants Tyler and Whitney romance, plus behind the scenes video of B&B fire

by Lynn Connolly

EastEnders heartthrob Tony Discipline has told Inside Soap that he’d love to see his character Tyler Moon in a romance with Whitney Dean in 2012.

As fans of the show will know, Whitney – who’s played by Shona McGarty – carries a bit of a torch for Tyler, but was instead won over by Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) who she’s now dating.

But for as lovely as Fatboy is to her, Whitney still pines after Tyler, and it seems, he feels the same way about her.

Of the chance of a romance for Whitney and Tyler, Tony said, “I think Tyler needs to decide what he wants when it comes to women.

“I’d really like to see him settle down with Whitney eventually.

“He’s harbouring some big love for her…”

But Matt Lapinskas who of course plays Tyler’s brother Anthony, and who is in real life dating Shona McGarty, reckoned the only romance he wants for his character in the New Year is puppy love!

He said, “I’d like to see Anthony come out of his shell a bit more now that he’s settled in Walford…

“And I want the Moons to get a dog!”

However, while the Moon boys have romances and pets on their minds, for the Masood family, there are far more serious considerations as they face 2012…

Not least the fact that poor Tamwar (Himesh Patel) faces an agonizing road to recovery from the devastating burns he received in the Boxing Day fire at the B&B.

And it’s yet to be seen how Zainab (Nina Wadia) is going to cope with the guilt of knowing that Tam only went into the burning building to rescue his wife Afia (Meryl Fernandes) who of course wasn’t in there.

But as viewers will know, Zainab sent Yusef (Ace Bhatti) to his death in the inferno by telling him Afia was in fact in the B&B, and poor Tam plunged into the flames believing she was in there too.

However, that’s all yet to come, but for now, the BBC have released two making-of videos about the B&B fire.

Here they are…
