The Moon brothers aka EastEnders brothers Tyler and Anthony Moon (aka Tony Discipline and Matt Lapinskas) challenge heat magazine to a game of strip poker in this week’s issue, on sale tomorrow.

“Can I can keep these boxers?” Tony Discipline (aka EastEnders’ Tyler Moon) laughs, “They can be my new lucky pants.”

The boys have hooked up with fellow cast members Shona McGarty (aka Whitney) and Jacqueline Jossa (aka Lauren), who are now their girlfriends in real life. They insisted: “We don’t take
our relationships on set. When we get to the gates of the BBC, we’re at work.”

Asked about stripping on TV, Tony said: “It’s easy when you can hide behind a character.”

Matt added: “When you’re in the public eye, though, you feel like you have to keep in shape. You’re always under pressure. You can get quite caught up in it and people do become anorexic in the industry.”

“When we first filmed in your boxers we walked into our dressing rooms and there were just some boxers hanging up. We rang down saying, “Our costumes aren’t here,” and they said, “Yeah, they are.” I was like, “Are you serious?””

Speaking about their newfound fame, Tony told heat: “I was starstruck by Shane Richie [who plays Alfie Moon]. He’s a legend.”

Matt said: “I was most excited to meet Steve McFadden [Phil Mitchell]. Every new cast member is given a mentor who shows you the ropes, and mine was Steve. It was pretty weird sitting down talking about scripts with Phil Mitchell.”
