It’s hard to believe, but Walford baddie Michael Moon is about to demonstrate that he has a heart…

Yes, an actual beating heart that’s capable of compassion and honesty. I know! Who’da thunk it?

But it’s true, because it’s been revealed that on the day Michael (Steve John Shepherd) and Janine (Charlie Brooks) are set to tie the knot, Kat Moon makes an impassioned plea to Michael to tell the truth about Jean Slater.

That is of course that he did in fact rip her off for thousands of pounds, even though he later tried to make out that Jean was simply delusional, and he even set her up to seem dangerously obsessed with Roxy’s (Rita Simons) daughter Amy.

However, as mentioned, just minutes before he’s due at the altar, Kat tells Michael that Jean (Gillian Wright) is about to be sectioned, given that nobody except Kat believes a word she’s saying…

And this is where Michael grows a heart because he confesses to Kat (Jessie Wallace) that he did take the money and he tells her he will own up about it to everybody else, because even his normally dormant conscience can’t see Jean locked away for what he did.

He then takes Janine aside and confesses everything to her too, but even as Janine’s in shock over what he’s done, he tells her that the only way they can carry on the day and get married is if she rips up their pre-nup.

Will Janine leave herself – and her bank account – vulnerable to Michael’s scheming by doing what he says? Or will she ditch him and say good riddance?
