As fans of EastEnders will know, Letitia Dean has returned to the show to reprise the role of Sharon Rickman, who was of course formerly Sharon Watts.

And today, the Daily Mail has revealed that we’ll first see Sharon when her fiancé ditches her at the altar on their wedding day!

And of course, as we reported recently, Sharon’s fiancé – who’s played by Jesse Birdsall – will kidnap Sharon’s son Dennis Jnr on the big day, prompting Sharon to summon her former lover Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to race to her aid as she tries to get her son back.

Little Dennis is of course Dennis Rickman’s (Nigel Harman) son, and as fans will recall, Dennis – who was Den Watts’ biological son while Sharon was Den’s adopted daughter – died on New Year’s Eve in 2006 after gangster Johnny Allen took a hit out on him…

But as to Sharon’s return storyline, as mentioned, a big row on their wedding day sees Sharon’s fiancé storm out of the wedding venue, taking little Dennis with him, who, as you can see from the Mail’s picture below, is just too cute!

Also appearing in the wedding scenes – though we don’t know her character’s name or back story as yet – is actress Juliet Cowan, who’s also starred in This Life.

Of retuning to the hit soap – which she has starred in on and off since it launched in 1985, Letitia told the Daily Mirror recently, “I am really looking forward to being a part of the EastEnders team again.

“It’s always been very close to my heart. I cannot wait to work with my old colleagues and see what is in store for Sharon.”

We’ll see her back in Walford in July. I can’t wait!
