It’s not quite December yet and we’re holding off pulling out our Christmas jumpers until then but that isn’t stopping the TV networks from sharing details of their festive scheduling.
It’s been confirmed that classic music show Top Of The Pops will return on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve fronted by regulars Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates and a whole heap of big music names!
Both shows will air for one hour and will conclude with the hotly anticipated news of who is Christmas Number 1 and who scores the final Number 1 of the year.
The Christmas Day special will air on the 25th of December from 2:00-3:00pm while the New Year’s Eve special will air on the 31st of December – time to be announced.
Top of the Pops Christmas will welcome performances from some of the biggest names including Ed Sheeran, Tom Odell, Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne.
The likes of George Ezra, Sigma, Gorgon City featuring MNEK will also take to the famous stage to perform their hits in front of a packed studio audience – and those watching at home.
Rixton, Ella Henderson, The Vamps, Mr Probz and music legends Take That will also feature on the Christmas Day special of Top of the Pops.
Hosts Reggie Yates and Fearne Cotton will also reveal who has scored themselves the 2014 Christmas Number 1.
As for the Top Of The Pops special on New Year’s Eve – an air time still to be confirmed – this one hour special will be just what you need to bring in 2015 with a smile on your face and a tune in your ear.
The BBC have confirmed that a number of big names will grace the stage including Labrinth, Professor Green with Tori Kelly, Charli XCX and La Roux.
Clean Bandit and Jess Glynn, Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, The Vamps, Ella Henderson and The Script will also make an appearance on the show.
The Top Of The Pops New Year’s Eve special will also feature the final number one single of the year before we move into 2015.
