Ed Westwick Says Gossip Girl Isn’t Irrelevant
Ed Westwick has denied claims that American teen drama is irrelevant during the current recession.
Ed’s character Chuck Bass and his pals are members of New York’s upper class and regularly wow with designers clothes and huge limos.
But Ed said: “I don’t think it’s irrelevant because I am sure there are still people out there who are living it up.”
He continued: “I don’t think we are all walking around head in our hands.
“Unfortunately some of us may be, but I think the show is taken for what it is – it’s a piece of entertainment and that’s the value and that’s the worth.”
