Last week, Ella Henderson kicked off the campaign for her brand new single ‘Ghost’, and as we revealed yesterday, fans have been searching high and low across Ella’s social networking profiles for a glimpse at the video for the official remix.
After a couple of days of searching across Ella’s social networking profiles including: Vine, YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook, the official video was unveiled in its entirety this morning on Ella’s official VEVO profile.
The campaign kicked off last week, in which fans took to the streets of London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Grimsby to find the first piece of exclusive content.
Upon finding the first ‘Ghost Trail’ moment, fans had to scan a piece of paper through an augmented reality application. Upon finding, and scanning the paper, fans then received access to the SWITCH remix of ‘Ghost’.
This week however, Ella turned her attention to the internet and announced the next ‘moment’ in the trail would be to piece together the official video to the remix single.
Over the last few days, Ella has been releasing snippets of the video on Snapchat, Vine, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. This morning, after finding all the clues, fans were treated to the FULL video on Ella’s official VEVO page.
However, the video that was released this morning is not the official Ghost video – the official video is coming soon, along with the studio version of Ghost.
Our attention now turns to what the next moment may be. We’ve been promised artwork, new tracks, and videos of exclusive live performances.
The moments of the Ghost Trail follow the concept of Ghost, in which they will appear, but then disappear, so fans will have to be quick if they want to have a glimpse of the exclusive new content.
Speaking about the campaign, Ella, who co-created the idea, said: “From the start, I have described my album as an open diary, and so it’s important to me that people are introduced to the music in the right way.
“I don’t think it’s enough just to release a picture of the artwork anymore, I’d love for people to feel like they can relate to the music in different ways, and I feel like this campaign gives you that opportunity.
“I’m very excited for everyone to hear the music, and I’m looking forward to throwing in a few surprises that hopefully people will enjoy!”
