Embarrassing Bodies reunites father and son after moob treatment!

Embarrassing Bodies is of course a hit for Channel 4, airing as it does – fearlessly – ailments of the kind that some people are just to embarrassed to see their GP about, but can apparently discuss, and show, freely on national TV.

However, when Haydn Wells appeared on the show, hoping for advice and treatment for his “man boobs”, he had no idea that his long lost dad Adrian would be watching, and would subsequently get in touch with Haydn.

The Sun reports that dad Adrian Van Sertima had spent the last 20 years trying to track down his son Haydn after splitting from his mum while she was pregnant.

And though he’d never seen Haydn, while watching Embarrassing Bodies, Adrian “was immediately struck” by how much like his other son Haydn was. So, on the off chance, he then contacted Haydn via Facebook and discovered that he was indeed his son…

Hairdresser Haydn said, “I never thought that my embarrassing man boobs would bring me to my father I had never met – it’s just been incredible.”

Adrian added, “When I saw the way one of the people on the show walked and smiled on screen, I saw how much he was like my son Nicholas.

“I thought ‘crikey’, he looks like my son. More and more when I saw the way he walked and smiled, I saw how much he was like my other son.

“Every time I had tried to find him before it was just a dead end.

“But after I saw the spelling of his name on the show I found him on Facebook and sent him a message…

“I said, ‘I think I might know your mum, but I’m not sure. Ask her if she knew someone in the air force called Vanse?’ – as that was my nickname when I was in the RAF.

“He replied that she did and that I must be his dad.

“It’s a miracle that I have found him now.”

Adrian and Haydn are now planning to meet for the first time when Haydn travels to Adrian’s home next week.

Of that, Haydn said, “It’s really strange to go from being an only child and never knowing my dad, to having all of these aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents that I never had before.

“He said that all his family have been going crazy and they’re really excited because they’ve got a whole new family member.”

And Haydn’s mum, Tracy Blades, said, “It’s all very new and I’m still shocked that it’s happened.”

Aww bless, what a nice story!
