Emilia Clarke is ‘oblivious’ to ‘Game of Thrones’ fame (VIDEO)
Emilia Clarke, star of American hit series Game Of Thrones has revealed how fame has not affected her, and how she doesn’t even get recognised by fans!
Clarke, who plays the Khaleesi Daenerys in the award-winning HBO series, has said that she very rarely gets recognised for her super famous alter-ego, as she looks very different in real life.
Speaking to the Huffington post of her fame, Clarke commented:”I’m really oblivious to it, because I look so different.”
She then went to discuss her character’s lack of acceptance when it comes to failure, saying:”She’s completely and utterly desperate and she doesn’t accept failure in anything,” Clarke said. “I think that she will die trying to do what she believes is right. That [belief is] tested, but it pays off, because they can see in her that she believes completely in what she’s saying.”
She then went on to say how much of a fan she is of the show, and that she hopes it continues for many years to come, saying:”I’m a fan, so [the thought of doing that many seasons just makes me really happy,” she said. “I get excited by it.”
Later this year, Clarke will also appear in the film Overdrive and in 2013, she will front a new documentary feature titled Spike Island, named after the location of the Stone Roses seminal 1990 gig.
Clarke won the 2011 EWwy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role as Daenerys.
