Awww just to prove that you are never too old for a bit of romance, Coronation Street are to bring us some pensioner action later this year.

Over the upcoming months Emily Bishop will find herself smitten by Ramsey, brother of Norris Cole.

Rita will be the first one to notice and after noticing Emily’s new hairdo she asks: “I take it the hair isn’t for my benefit?”

Norris won’t be too amused when he returns home from work to find the pair snuggled on the couch watching old videos.

He turns on the lights and gasps: “What on earth is going on in here? Why have you got the curtains drawn in the middle of the day?”

But all will not end well as Ramsey flits back to Australia leaving Emily broken hearted.
