In upcoming episodes of Emmerdale, the Barton family are in deep crisis as mum Moira (Natalie J Robb) can’t get past her grief over her husband John’s death, and Holly Barton (Sophie Powles) once again turns to drugs to help ease her own pain…
And Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) feels keenly his new found and unwanted role as man of the house, and as he sees everything around him crumbling, he focuses more and more on his rage against Cain Dingle.
Cain (Jeff Hordley) of course had an affair with Moira, and as far as Adam’s concerned, had that never happened, his dad would still be alive, Holly wouldn’t have relapsed, and his mum wouldn’t be destroyed, so he vows to take revenge…
And to do that, in an episode we’ll see a week on Thursday, he decides to confront Cain at the garage. However, he goes prepared to ensure it’ll be the last confrontation Cain ever has with anyone!
He takes a blow torch and a can of petrol with him as he locks Cain inside the garage. He wants Cain to know exactly what’s happening and why, so he holds the blow torch up to Cain’s face before dowsing Cain’s injured leg in petrol.
He then kicks Cain’s leg, leaving him writhing in agony on the floor as he sets fire to the garage and leaves…
An ITV insider told the Daily Star Sunday, “Adam’s been all over the place since his dad died. He’s full of anger, so when Cain makes a comment he just snaps.
“It’s a moment of madness but his dad is dead and Adam doesn’t care about anything else.
“He’s not thinking about his mum or his sisters when he does what he does…he just reacts.
“Cain is left to watch as he walks out of the garage and closes the door behind him.”
O man, I hope he survives! I can’t be doing without Cain!
