Adam Thomas has admitted that he was terrified about filming his steamy scenes with co-star Corrine Wicks in Emmerdale.

The 22-year-old actor is best known as hunky farmer’s son Adam Barton in the ITV1 soap and confessed that while he was ‘excited’ at being at the centre of such a huge storyline, he was also terrified about his character embarking on an affair with his girlfriend’s mum, Ella Hart.

He said: “You dread it but, when it comes down to it, it’s not as bad as you think. You just get on with it. It’s not just kissing scenes, either. We have sex over a desk!”

However, the saucy storyline is set to get even more dramatic when Adam’s mum Moira (Natalie J. Robb) catches him in a clinch with his older lover.

He added to new! magazine: “I’ve just been shooting scenes where Moira finds out and I think it¹s going to get very messy.

“Yes, she sees us at it and everything. She catches us doing it in the car!”

Despite his initial reservations about shooting the scenes, Adam – who has been dating his real-life girlfriend Caroline for three years – thinks an encounter with a more mature woman is the ultimate fantasy for most men.

He joked: “It’s like every boy’s dream, going for the older woman! I’ve never had an older woman come onto me, to be honest. I’m still waiting, so if you know any.”
