Emmerdale at 40: Liam Fox (Dan Spencer) has found it hard to keep storyline a secret from his 10 year old son!

With all of the nation’s eyes on him tonight, Emmerdale’s Liam Fox has admitted it was hard to keep the secrets of the Live Episode, from his ten-year-old son!

Fans of the hit ITV soap will know how tonight is a very special night in the village of Emmerdale, as the cast and crew celebrate 40 glorious years in the world of the Great British Soap, by entertaining us all with an hour long live episode to mark the occasion!

In tonight’s anniversary episode you can expect to see some explosive storylines all come crashing to a conclusion, including the love triangle between Cameron (Dominic Power) Debbie (Charley Webb) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) who has just got married to Dan Spencer (Liam Fox).

And whilst all the cast have been sworn to secrecy, there has been one person in particular who won’t stop trying to get the punch line out of one of the main players, Liam Fox’s ten-year-old son!

Liam’s son Ben has been desperate to find out so he can tell his pals at school making the pressure on his father even more intense!

Liam, who is married to Hollyoaks star Nicole Barber-Lane who plays Myra McQueen, in real life, told the Mirror newspaper:

“Ben is not impressed by the fact that me and Nicole work in TV.

“He’ll often say, ‘Do we have to watch any more soaps? I want to watch a Bond film.’

“He only likes to know the storylines so he can impress people at school.

“He gets bothered so much by all the year-10 girls who are a few years older than him to know what’s going to happen next.

“It’s been very difficult for him not to let anything slip.

“He’s always trying to look at my scripts and I have to make sure he doesn’t see anything. But I can’t tell him a single word because there’s a danger it will come out at school.”

Watch all the drama unfold on tonight’s Emmerdale Live at 7pm on ITV1/ITV1 HD.
