Emmerdale At 40 – Who’s going to die during 2012 live episode? Here’s our theory!
Fans of Emmerdale will of course know that the soap is celebrating its 40th anniversary in a week of special episodes that being on October 15th…
And among those celebratory episodes is the hour-long live broadcast, which is making history for being the first of its ilk to air in its entirety on location at the show’s studios in Yorkshire.
During that landmark hour, we’ll be witness to the birth of two babies, a double wedding and of course, the murder of a “well loved” and “major” character, and here at Unreality Primetime, we have a theory as to who is going to breathe his/her last during that live episode…
So if you don’t want to read who we think is going to shuffle off the mortal coil, go no further! If you do want to know, click on ‘Read more…’
First, as to the births, they are of course to be Debbie Dingle’s baby and Gennie Walker’s while the double wedding will see Declan Macey wed fiancé Katie Sugden, and – unless she ditches him at the altar – that of Chas Dingle and Dan Spencer.
But who’s going to be murdered? And who will be the killer?
Well, I suspect the victim is going to be Carl King (Tom Lister) and that’s because he is of course causing an awful lot of trouble for several of the village’s residents right now…
He’s blackmailing Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) and of course, as we saw last night, Chas was forced to admit to Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) that she staged the robbery at the pub, but she couldn’t tell her the truth as to why…
So Diane has told Chas that after the wedding, she wants her gone from the pub as their friendship is now over.
Also, as we reported recently, when Carl tells Chas that he’s still in love with her, in order to buy herself some time, she agrees to flee the village with him ahead of her wedding to Dan (Liam Fox).
However, when she tells Cameron about it, she confesses that she intends to flee the village alright, but with Dan, not Carl. And understandably, Cameron is livid and tells Chas that if she does, that leaves only him to cope with the fallout from Carl…
So both Chas and Cameron have reason to want Carl dead!
And also in last night’s episode, we saw Carl selling his shares in the business to Charity (Emma Atkins) which is going to leave his brother Jimmy (Nick Miles) right in it as he will of course no longer be a majority shareholder.
And as you can see from this image, when Jimmy finds out what Carl’s done, he can’t control his temper…
But will his brother’s latest humiliating actions make Jimmy angry enough to commit murder?
Well, we’ll find out during the live episode which airs on Wednesday, October 17th but for now, we’d love to hear your theories on who might die and who the killer may be!

I think Carl is going to be killed by Cameron but because Jimmy last saw Carl during a fight, Jimmy will blame himself and think He`s Killed His Brother.
