Emmerdale: Cameron Murray – who murdered Carl King – will kill again at Christmas to keep his secret! Who’s going to be his next victim?!

by Lynn Connolly

As fans of Emmerdale will of course know, Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) murdered Carl King (Tom Lister) during the soap’s live episode which aired during the show’s anniversary celebrations…

Since then, his lover Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) has been languishing in prison awaiting trial for Carl’s death, because she of course had a brawl with him after he attempted to rape her, and is therefore convinced that the blow to the head he received during the struggle was the reason for his death.

And though Cameron has vowed to get her out of prison, he’s yet to do the one thing that would guarantee Chas’s freedom; confess.

However, as Christmas approaches in the village, Cameron will indeed confess that it was he who killed Carl, but he’ll make that confession to one of the village’s residents, and having realized the enormity of what he’s done – namely that the unnamed villager will surely go to the police to report the truth about Carl’s murder – Cameron takes the village resident hostage…

He’ll keep the doomed villager captive as he desperately tries to figure a way out of the situation he’s got himself into, but as Christmas Day rolls around, and the body of a well loved Emmerdale resident is discovered, it’s clear that Cameron has killed again to ensure his secret stays just that.

Of the dramatic yuletide plotline, a show insider told the Daily Star, “The resident in question doesn’t stand a chance.

“Cameron pulls out all the stops to make sure the victim never spills the beans.

“How long can Cameron keep his poker face?”

So, who does Cameron confess to? Well, in truth, it could be just about anybody, but of course, in forthcoming episodes, he’s set to become close to Jimmy King (Nick Miles) who – despite the fact it was his brother who died – believes that Chas murdered Carl in self-defense, and is therefore going to put up the money to pay for her legal team…

So he’s perhaps the most obvious choice. But of course, as the paper states that Cameron will make his confession to the unlucky villager during Chas’s trial, it could be anyone who’s likely to attend.

That then could mean Gennie Walker (Sian Reese-Williams) or Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) or even Cameron’s former girlfriend Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).

Who do you think will be Cameron’s next victim?

Here’s a reminder of the moment he murdered Carl…
