Emmerdale: Claire King says she’d love to return to the show as Kim, but only to commit mass murder!
As we reported recently, former Emmerdale star Claire King – who has also starred in prison drama Bad Girls – has landed a new role in Hollyoaks playing the governor of the prison where Mitzeee (Rachel Shenton) is banged up for the stabbing of Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) which of course she didn’t do…
And though Claire is arguably best known for her Emmerdale role as super bitch Kim Tate, she has in fact starred in Hollyoaks already, having appeared in Hollyoaks: In the City in 2006 as “a business woman who’d do anything for money”, and also in Hollyoaks as a lawyer to character Justin Burton.
But while speaking to the PA about the chances of Kim making a return to Emmerdale, Claire said that would be something she’s totally up for.
Claire also pointed out that the deeds to Home Farm – where Declan Macey (Jason Merrells) is now lord of the manor – are still in Kim Tate’s name!
She said, “I’ve always said never say never and it is still my house. I don’t know who’s got the title deeds because my name’s still on it.”
And of what her comeback plotline could be, Claire said, “It would be great to go in, have a mass murder, and then go out again!
“I think a lot of water’s passed under the bridge but I wouldn’t say never, it would be quite good fun.
“And it’s on my doorstep because I live in Yorkshire still.”
When it was suggested that maybe Kim could return for Emmerdale’s landmark live 40th anniversary episode, Claire said, “I wish them luck for their live episode and I’m so glad I’m not in it!”
Would you like to see Claire – or any other former characters – return for the anniversary episodes?
