Emmerdale: Clive Hornby (Jack Sugden) To Take A Break
Emmerdale actor Clive Hornby, better known as Jack Sugden, has had to take a break from filming on the ITV TV show due to ill health.
“We can confirm that Clive is unwell but fully intends to return to work,” an Emmerdale spokesperson said, but refused to give details of the illness.

Cannot believe Mr Hornby has passed away…What a shock!!!!… I am so, so sorry for you all, want you to know i am thinking of you all at this very diffcult time, i know how hard it is no words can expres how you all feel at this moment. I am myself am watching my stepdad slowly deteriorate from a major stoke from 12 months ago, it,s a emotional rollercoaster!!!!
Jack Sugden is part of my childhood ( Clive) Made the part Jack Sugden so real !!! we all thought without annie not emmerdale, but without jack, def not emmerdale.

What a shame clive hornby has died he will be missed by all his fans friends and family and everyone who knew him.
i remember meeting him in real life at a farmers market a few years ago and he was just the same as he was on tv. a great actor in a great soap

I was so sorry to hear of Clive`s death.I shared a dressing room with him for a year at the Fortune theatre London.It was the last play he did before he started Emmerdale.What not many people don t know that he nearly did nt do Emmerdale as the theatre management refusued at first to release him from the play (Murder at the Vicarage)He was a gent with a good naughty sens of humour. I can’t believe Clive has died, he will be missed. I remember his first day on the soap. All his good work will be missed and character.
