Emmerdale: First 40th anniversary trailer released as Adam Thomas teases murder storyline!

ITV has just released the first trailer for Emmerdale’s landmark 40th anniversary live episode, and we of course have it for you after the jump.

As you’ll see in the promo, many of the soap’s biggest characters feature in the teaser, including Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) as well as Jai and Charity Sharma – who’re played by Chris Bisson and Emma Atkins – and of course, soon to be newlyweds, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Dan Spencer (Liam Fox).

On now to Adam Thomas teasing which of the Dales residents is going to be murdered during the hour-long live episode.

Digital Spy report that he said, “Without a shadow of a doubt we’ll miss this person – of course.

“When someone does leave, it’s definitely a big thing for us because we all work so closely on Emmerdale and we all have so many scenes together.”

And of the live show, Adam said, “It’s definitely going to be nerve-wracking, but once we’ve done it, we’re all going to be so proud that we’ve pulled something off that’s as spectacular as this episode is going to be.

“It’s just going to be momentous afterwards. It’s definitely worth it. I’ve got about one line – they don’t trust me!”
