We can all stop fretting about Declan rattling around Home Farm on his Lonesome, he is soon to have company!
Just a few weeks ago the Home Farm boss (Jason Merelles) evicted father, Dermot (Father Ted Vetran Frank Kelly) and step-daughter Mia (Sapphire Elia) so it was only a matter of time before he found a new house guest.
His half sister is on her way, this time by invitation of the hard nosed businessman, but has he finally met his match?
Megan is set to ruffle many feathers with her glamourous, ambitious and somewhat intimidating ways, in particular those of Katie (Sammy Winward) when she tries to convince her brother that his relationship will not last the test of time.
Vetran actress Gaynor Faye, of Coronation Street, Fat Friends and Dancing on Ice fame, has been cast to play the dynamic Macey, and cant wait to get into character saying: saying: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Emmerdale and being a Yorkshire lass myself, filming in Leeds, my home town, is the icing on the cake!
“The women in Emmerdale are strong and feisty and I can’t wait to play my character who’s fun but extremely driven and will stop at nothing to get her own way!
“She’s quite different to many of the roles that I have played before and hopefully will take people by surprise. Here’s to the New Year when I take my first tipple in the Woolpack!”
Her character will appear on our screens at the beginning of next year after being invited by Declan to take part in a business venture he has in mind.
Emmerdale series producer Stuart Blackburn says: “I’m thrilled to welcome Gaynor to the show. This is an exciting new character for us and a new era at Home Farm. Megan will quickly remind Declan she has a shrewd ability to get what she wants, when she wants it.”
