Katie Sugden is left fearing for the life of her baby this week as she is savagely attacked by the mother to be, Perdy.

Katie tricks Perdy into admitting that she has been blackmailing her estranged husband Grayson, and also gets her to burn the cargidan that he used to frame Matthew King for the murder of his mother Rosemary.

Once Katie gets her way, she admits to Perdy that she loves Gray and intends to keep the baby and raise it with him, this sends Perdy over the edge.

An insider told The Daily Star: “Katie knows the one thing she has over Perdy is the baby. Perdy is determined to be a mum and will do anything for the baby.

“So Katie tells her she will hand over the baby if Perdy destroys the cardigan. 

“Of course, she has no intention of giving up the tot – not when she has the chance to start a new family with Grayson.”
