Emmerdale’s Laurel will have to fight for her life in an upcoming episode, when she gets locked inside the church whilst a fire is started.

The Daily Star reports that Ashely’s ex girlfriend, Sally Spode (Sian Reeves) will start the fire, knowing full well that Laurel is trapped inside.

An Emmerdale insider told the newspaper: “What most viewers won’t know is that Charlotte Bellamy was heavily pregnant when we filmed the scenes.

“She was crawling across the floor with six foot flames burning around her all the while trying to hide her baby bump.”

They added: “Charlotte didn’t let anything get in her way and the scenes look absolutely amazing.”
