Emmerdale actor, Matthew Wolfenden, has said that he finds filming sex scenes for the soap “bizarre!”

Matthew’s character David Metcalfe is currently involved in a steamy affair with Nicola De Souza (Nicola Wheeler), but she is just the last in a long line of lovers for the Emmerdale stud.

He told The Sun: “It’s weird doing the love scenes as you’re in a room with dozens of people – two or three cameramen, soundmen and make-up – it’s not very passionate and very bizarre.

“I’ve done so many love scenes that I’m not nervous anymore and I knew Nicola before we had to get between the sheets.”
