Emmerdale: Natalie Anderson on Alicia and Andy’s split!

by Lynn Connolly

As fans of Emmerdale will know, Alicia and Andy’s relationship is in crisis since Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) has now called off their planned move to Spain.

And the news that they won’t be leaving for a life in the sun has devastated Alicia, who’s played by Natalie Anderson.

She told Soaplife recently that Alicia and Andy are soon to split up under the strain of that, and Andy’s worry about his daughter Sarah’s illness…

However, she may not be single for long since it seems Carl King swoops soon after it becomes public knowledge that the couple have split.

Natalie said of the split, “She’s absolutely gutted, but in true Alicia style, this takes the form of anger and fury…

“Deep down though, she’s very upset. She really liked Andy and thought they had a future.”

As to whether Alicia will start up a new relationship with Carl (Tom Lister) Natalie said, “She’s fed up so finds his flirting quite flattering.

“She doesn’t take it too seriously, though. He’s a bit of a bad boy but she’s not stupid and wouldn’t fall for his charms completely.”

And when asked, “Does it go further than flirting?” Natalie replied, “Diane sees Carl and Alicia leave the pub and everyone assumes they’ve spent the night together though they haven’t.

“Victoria has a row with Alicia over it Alicia’s gutted that Victoria thinks she’d do that to Andy.

“She’s angry, too, though and says she doesn’t have to explain her actions to anyone.”

Natalie went on to reveal that she would have liked Alicia and Andy’s relationship to work out.

She said, “I liked them as a couple and hoped they had a long way to go.

“Maybe they still do. The Sarah storyline hopefully means we’ll get to see a different side to Alicia.

“I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they get back together.”
