And Dominic Brunt gets indecent proposals!
Emmerdale stars Mark Charnock and Dominic Brunt reckon there’s not a snowball in hell’s chance of them being invited to take part in celebrity dance contest Strictly Come Dancing, thanks to their dubious moves on spin-off DVD, Paddy and Marlon’s Big Night In.
Virgin Media reports that while speaking with Bang Showbiz, Mark said of Dominic’s efforts at break dancing, “I think we’ve got a black mark against our names for all future series of Strictly Come Dancing after that.”
Mark, who of course plays Marlon Dingle, and Dominic, who plays vet Paddy Kirk, also revealed that they didn’t especially enjoy the challenge of being asked to dance for the spin-off.
Dominic said, “We had about five hours to rehearse and it was quite stressful. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t enjoy it massively.”
And it seems there’s another development that Dominic isn’t overly keen on; namely that women are sending him indecent proposals!
Dominic made the revelation while speaking with Inside Soap.
He said, “It’s women in their late fifties to early seventies, really. Often written in green pen and filthy!
“They just tell me what they want to do to me!
“I haven’t met any of them yet – fortunately…”
Dominic thinks the attention from the ladies could be due to a scene he starred in when the show aired a Full Monty-esque sequence.
Of that, he said, “Just after I arrived the show had a Full Monty episode where we all had to strip off and walk around in boxer shorts.”
“I think I’d refuse to do that now. It was pretty embarrassing!”
I couldn’t find a clip of that episode sadly, but it did make me wonder, who’s your soapy crush?
And by ‘crush’ I actually mean, who would you send an “absolutely filthy” letter or email to if you A) had the bottle, and B) weren’t worried about subsequent legal proceedings for stalking?
