Emmerdale viewers were delighted earlier this year when unlucky in love Paul Lambert (Mathew Bose) tied the knot with his partner Jonny Foster (Richard Grieve) in a lavish ceremony. But the couple’s road to happiness took a wrong turn after Jonny caught Paul kissing his ex Grayson (Chris Villiers), causing Jonny to flee their marriage and his life in Emmerdale for good.

In January 2009, the star-crossed lovers will be reunited, thanks to Jonny’s mum Patricia (played by Allo Allo star Vicki Michelle), who returns to help Lily (Anne Charleston) get the couple back together.

In doing so, they go head to head with Paul’s controlling mum Val (Charlie Hardwick) who selfishly refuses to risk her son leaving the village, and fabricates a reason to make him stay. Paul is finally reunited with Jonny, but will they manage to put Val’s deception and their past behind them, or is there yet more heartache on the cards?

Richard Grieve says “There is definitely unfinished business between Jonny and Paul and so it will be interesting to see if they have a future together. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Jonny and couldn’t resist this opportunity. “

Vicki Michelle says “It’s fabulous to be back, I’m really excited as Emmerdale is such a fantastic show. Patricia is returning for a great storyline and I’m really looking forward to her going head to head with Val, again!”
