Emmerdale fans will be glad to now that sexpot, Roxanne Pallett has signed a new contract, tying her to the ITV soap opera for another twelve months.

Bosses had been worried that due to the huge increase in Pallett’s profile over the last year, she may be tempted to pastures new. But Pallett has insisted that she is thrilled to be staying on in the show that made her famous.

Roxanne told The Daily Star: “Emmerdale is the best job in the world.

“I don’t ever need to set my alarm clock in the morning because I can’t wait to get to work.

“I have been so thankful for the storylines I have been given over the past 12 months.

“And things are going to get even better in 2008. I am so excited about what’s in store for Jo.”
