Emmerdale: Sam Dingle Goes On The Run

Sam Dingle goes on the run this week in Emmerdale. Sam suspects that Social Services are plotting to take his son Samson from him, and so hatches a plan which will see him leave the village.

James Hooton who plays Sam admitted to The Daily Star: “The problem is that when it comes to Samson he’s got tunnel vision. He feels he has to look out for him and take him away from anyone who wants to interfere with their lives.

“I don’t think he realises the implications of social services and what their powers are.”

After he flees, word spreads around the village that Sam has held David Metcalfe at gunpoint and robbe him but James says it is all a big mistake, adding: “Pollard had previously offered to lend him money so he goes to the factory to find him.

“Unfortunately he’s holding a gun at the time and David obviously assumes it’s a robbery, when that’s the last thing on Sam’s mind.”
