Emmerdale actress, Sammy Winward has admitted that she is dreading having to film labour scenes for ITV soap opera Emmerdale.

Sammy’s character Katie Sugden has offered to be a surrogate mother for her friends Gray and Perdy, but Sammy has admitted to the Daily Star:

“It’s hardly the most glamorous thing in the world. You’re sweaty, have greasy hair and you scream a lot. I don’t fancy doing that on camera when you’ve got 20 or more people staring at you, so I’m actually praying that something happens and she doesn’t have to give birth.”

Asked about her character’s future, Winward added: “We all know she has a darker side and that’s what I want her to go back to. It’s more fun playing her when she’s being feisty so you never know, you may see her hold this baby to ransom.”
