As fans of Emmerdale will know, the show is airing its landmark hour-long episode on Wednesday, October 17th, and the show’s bosses have just released a new promo clip which features the stars of the soap talking about the live broadcast.

And also, it’s been revealed by ITV chiefs that fans can get unprecedented access to all areas of the set on the night of the live episode via “secret” cameras.

They can be viewed via the show’s official website on the night, and they’re also available on the ITV Player App on the iPhone or iPad.

The live episode will make history as it will be shot entirely on-location at the show’s base in Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, Nicola Wheeler, who plays Nicola King, has revealed that she and her co-stars were “devastated” when they learned who’s to be killed off during the live broadcast.

Speaking to OK magazine, she said, “We were devastated when we found out who it was.”

But of course, she couldn’t even hint at who is going to be murdered, but she did admit that she’s having some nerves about the live broadcast.

She said, “Sometimes if I forget a line, I swear. I’m terrible for that.

“Obviously I can’t do that on live TV. That would be really bad.”
