Emmerdale viewers will know that murderer Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) is currently frantic at the prospect that his crimes could be uncovered if the body of one of his victims, Alex Cross, is discovered when work begins on the land where he’s buried…

So naturally, Cameron is in a state of constant panic as he repeatedly tries to get away from the village – and his girlfriend Chas – long enough to dig up the corpse and move it somewhere else.

And his temperament isn’t helped by the fact that Chas’s sister Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) can smell a rat and is suspicious about Cameron’s recent behaviour.

She of course encouraged Chas (Lucy Pargeter) to spy on Cameron recently, but he spotted them following him and quickly changes his plans so that he wouldn’t lead them right to Alex’s remains.

But next week, though Gennie is still not entirely sure about why he’s behaving so shiftily, she fears she’s caused a rift between Cameron and Chas, so she goes to the pub to apologise to them both for thinking that he was cheating on Chas…

However, a paranoid Cameron isn’t convinced by her apology, and later, he visits her and makes veiled but very clear threats that she needs to butt out of his business.

In the episode that airs on Thursday, May 9, a worried Gennie has decided to tell Chas about Cameron’s threatening behaviour, so when Cameron spots Gennie going into the back room to talk to Chas, he listens in before walking into the room before Gennie can reveal that he threatened her.

This puts her off telling Chas, but can Cameron take the chance that Gennie will remain silent? Or will he believe he has no choice but to silence her himself?

Find out next week, but for now, here’s a look at this week’s drama…
