As we reported earlier this week, not only is killer Cameron Murray set to return to Emmerdale, he’s also going to propose to his girlfriend Chas Dingle…

However, when Cameron gets into a fight with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) Chas is set to see a side to her lover that chills her, and that is of course that he’s evidently capable of cold-blooded murder.

And when asked by Soaplife if Cameron could in fact kill again, Dominic Power – who’s played the role of Cameron since 2011 – said, “Well, if he can do it twice what’s to say he can’t do it again and again…”

Fans will of course know that Cameron murdered Carl King in October, and at Christmas, he killed farmhand Alex Cross…

Of his character’s return to the village, Dominic explained, “He comes back to Emmerdale, checks Alex’s grave hasn’t been disturbed…

“[He] then tries to crack on with some kind of normal life. But Chas is ready to leave.

“She’s furious that he stayed away longer than he was supposed to and didn’t contact her.”

So in a bid to make her stay, Cameron will propose to Chas, but she doesn’t give him her answer right away…

Of that, Dominic said, “She’s unsure about staying in the village, but finally she does agree.

“They’re even less popular when everyone finds out, especially Debbie [Charley Webb] and Cain.”

As mentioned above, it’s during a row with Cain that Chas realizes what Cameron is capable of.

Dominic revealed, “It looks very much like the fight between Cameron and Carl.

“Cameron picks up a wrench and a red mist is swimming in front of him. He almost kills Cain there and then, but Chas stops him…”

And finally, when asked, “Is Chas likely to guess that Cameron murdered Carl?” Dominic replied, “I don’t think so. There’s nothing to make her think that.

“But she certainly sees something she needs to keep an eye on…”

Eek! We’ll see that drama play out next week, but for now, here’s a look at tonight’s trip to Emmerdale…
