As we reported this week, in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale, killer Cameron Murray is set to be horrified anew by his actions when he’s forced to exhume the body of Alex Moss (Kurtis Stacey) who he of course murdered after confessing to Alex that he, not Chas (Lucy Pargeter) had killed Carl King (Tom Lister).

Cameron is of course forced to carry out the gruesome exhumation after Declan Macey (Jason Merrells) announces his plans to carry out work on the woodland area where Alex is buried…

But after reburying Alex, Cameron is so horrified by what he’s done that he runs his van into a tree, which – to met at any rate – would suggest a suicide attempt. However, Dominic Power, who of course plays Cameron, has revealed that he hopes it wasn’t a conscious decision on the part of his character to end his life.

When asked, “What makes him deliberately crash into a tree – is he trying to kill himself?” Dominic replied, “I think he thinks so briefly about what he is doing it’s really just a last ditch attempt to give himself an alibi.

“A story that explains it all… I don’t think he wants to kill himself…

“But maybe he did – I hope not!”

After the accident, Cameron is found unconscious at the roadside by police, who of course call an ambulance and he’s rushed to hospital.

When asked, “How does he feel when he comes round and the police find him and take him to hospital?” Dominic said, “Initially he wakes up from his accident feeling gutted as there are no police, no sign of anyone and he thinks the whole staged accident has been fruitless…

“But when the police then arrive he is very relieved that he’s been found and he is on his way to hospital with the best alibi for his disappearance that he could have hoped for.”

And next, when asked how Cameron felt about digging up Alex’s remains and relocating them, Dominic said, “Cameron barely copes with the task of moving Alex’s decayed remains. It is truly awful as it’s terrifying.

“Not only is there a stench but it’s heavy and the thought of what he is doing is so terrifying and scary for him.

“He’s nervous about getting caught, he’s covering his tracks plus it’s a wretched job as it’s foul.

“I think he keeps getting flashbacks about this and could do for the foreseeable future. It is absolutely the most dreadful thing he has ever had to do…

“Bodies buried in shallow graves do not decompose too nicely!”
